greetings...

...and welcome to Skacel Fiber Studio! My name is Cirilia Rose. I'm the Creative Director at skacel collection, and I am head over heels in love with YARN. I spend a good chunk of my days tangled up in the glorious stuff. Whether I am swatching for a new design, brainstorming names or color palettes or trading tips with a knitter at a fiber festival, I have yarn on the brain, and more importantly, in my hands. 

I'd like to share a bit of that with you, and this site will be an ongoing chronicle of all the wonderful things happening in the world of skacel. 

Many people know us for our needles, especially the slick and shiny addi Turbos™. Some may know that we import and distribute yarns as well. Our most popular yarn lines are self-striping sock yarns from Germany, where sock yarns are colorful and made to last. Zitron's Trekking XXL, Schoppel-Wolle Zauberball and Austermann Step are just a handful of the yarns that have captured the imaginations of sock knitters around the globe. 

These yarns are wonderful, to be sure, and so are the addi Turbos™, but when I first arrived at skacel, I was somewhat surprised to see just how many yarns fell under the skacel umbrella. I'm betting that many of you would be surprised as well. They run the gamut from trendy novelties to affordable, versatile workhorse yarns with lots of incredible, unique concoctions in between. 

I'm taking it on as a personal mission to spread the word about these unsung yarns. This website will be a place where you can learn more about the products we carry, gather inspiration for new projects and get a peek into the yarn-filled lives of fiber artists from around the globe. It will be an ongoing WIP, so please pardon the sparseness for now. I can only say, it won't stay that way for long...
